Description:

9.5″ tall wooden carving of profiles of two faces; one side a native American male face with feathered headdress; the other face presumably a Caucasian male; they share an eye. Written on front it says, “geschn. Am 7.u.8 Mai 99 in New Ulm.” Initials RT carved into wood.

05/12/1999 - Presented to Mayor Bert G. Schapekahm by Rudi Tanner (Schnitzerei) of Eberhardzell, Germany. Rudi carved the sculpture out of Minnesota basswood while on a visit to New Ulm during May 1999. 1 Indian bust.
